Food has always been one of the most delightful ways to connect — with people, with culture, and with the world itself. For me, a food carnival is not just about tasting different dishes; it’s about celebrating diversity through flavor. Every aroma tells a story, every recipe carries history, and every shared meal nurtures togetherness.

At St. Britto’s, our Food Carnival is a true feast for the senses — vibrant stalls, regional delicacies, and the joyful chatter of students discovering something new. Watching them explore the cuisines of Kerala, Punjab, Tamil Nadu, or Gujarat fills me with pride. It’s heartwarming to see young minds not only enjoy the flavors but also understand the stories behind them — the farmers, traditions, and love that make every bite special.

Beyond celebration, the carnival also teaches responsibility — the art of eating intelligently. Students learn about balanced diets, the importance of fresh, local produce, and the dangers of processed or junk foods. It’s a beautiful reminder that food is both pleasure and power — it sustains us, shapes our health, and connects us to the Earth.

The day brims with energy — food stalls, games, folk dances, and laughter echoing across the grounds. From puppet shows to lessons on nutrition and food safety, every activity becomes an experience in learning by doing. What stands out most is the spirit of sharing — plates passed around, smiles exchanged, and a universal sense of belonging.

I often think of Julia Child’s words: “People who love to eat are always the best.” Indeed, those who enjoy food understand life deeply — they know that simplicity, freshness, and love are the true ingredients of joy.

Our Esculent Bon Appétit is more than a carnival — it’s a celebration of gratitude, culture, and community. Every meal shared here feeds not just the body, but the soul.
